TUCSON -
The Desert
Dove (Notes: Located within a half mile of
Saguaro National
Park East. Best birding at Saguaro is at the picnic area just
past the Visitor's Center-- Park, sit at a table and in 10 minutes
they'll (10-15 species!) will come to you! Hot tub under those "Big
Sky" Stars at the Dove, too.)
SIERRA VISTA -
Casa
de San Pedro (Notes: Located literally at the San
Pedro Riparian National Conservation Area. Great birding even at
the breakfast table. Be sure to check out the tiny pond at dusk--
hundreds of female blackbirds drive into the reeds-- it's a weird
sight to behold. Great restaurants in the area, too. Check out the
"Outside Inn".)
CHIRICAHUA/WILCOX - The Chiricahua
Foothills (Notes: Located 100 yards outside of
Chiricahua National
Park on a working ranch. They serve Dinner and Breakfast. Be
sure to say "Yes" to dinner-- the closest food (if you can call
it that) is 35 miles away and believe us, it's a l-o-n-g 35 miles.
The food at the B&B is excellant--
better than you'd get in most $$$ restaurants in Big Cities and
be sure to wear your stretch pants, because you get a lot. ) Info:
