Feeve (aka Micheal Lefevre) All the places in "No Place Special" are based on photographs I have taken or found. I paint over the photographs. I choose shapes, shadows and everything. It gets saved as a digital image, which I have printed on fine art canvas and in some cases have hand embellished with a clear coating of acrylic gelcoat which results in a somewhat painterly texture. These are the places I find the most special... and that's what the show is about. |
