Oils and Watercolors

I fell in love with color when I was a small child. I loved the variety of reds, yellows, blues, greens, and purples. I still have that passion when I paint, mixing gorgeous colors and using bright paint from the tube. My paintings come out of my subconscious mind. I combine textures and drawing with colors. My subjects are landscape and occasionally faces. I enjoy attaching pieces to my works. I frequently paint a place I have visited or seen from the car or hiking the span of mountains in Death Valley, oceans and rocks on the California coast and my gardens at home. My work crosses between abstract and expressionism. I find inspiration in nature each day and apply it to my art The art tells its own story.
