Michael Farber: "Animal Instincts"

Visual art is a natural and perhaps instinctual expression of communication. My 'canvas' is a place where I can take a detour from the fast pace and practicalities of the modern world; and reach into a quiet pocket of creative thought 'Creativity' comes to me most readily in the fluidity and freedom of abstraction; using color, evocative shapes and sinuous line to evoke whimsy, mystery and aesthetic resolution. My art is fun, folly, serious, sublime, frivolous, entertaining, provocative and perhaps even enlightening, I am a cook (mixing colors and other collage ingredients), scientist (discovery), and a musician (whose notes are color). My goal is to inspire and/or at least be a server of visual treats. The object created becomes it's own language that borrows from art history; but follows it's own unique path of expression that I hope communicates something beyond the common word.
