Hoot-Hoot I Scream was an actual structure built in 1927 on Valley Blvd in Rosemead. A year later it was moved to South Gate, in hopes of more business. In 1930, it was turned into a cafe and stayed in South Gate through World War II serving factory workers. After the war, the wrecking ball reduced the Hoot-Hoot Cafe to the history pages . This digital version is a prime example of the unique vernacular humor which was popular in Southern California in the early to mid 20th century and celebrates the dawn of California's car culture. The roadside stand has been recreated it's original state with a rotating head, blinking and moving eyes. Many prop items have also been included such as a Picnic Table and benches, period lighting, cash register, icebox and, of course, ice cream cones.. Features:
