These artifacts are cause by rendering systems that use raytracing.  The Songbird ReMix feather are very, very thin polygon rectangles.  The combination of raytracing and the bending of the feathers often cause blocky artifacts to appear on the feathers.

Subdivision solves 95% of all the issues with the blocky artifacts.

* '''Poser and Raytrace/Reality rendering'''...  Poser 10/2014 does have subdivision capabilities although they don't work properly with the Songbird ReMix model. (Note: The next upcoming version (Poser 11) DOES fixes this issue).  There is a workaround, though not 100% optimal.  Select the model, then go to "Figures" (on the Toolbar), Select "Skinning Method" and "Poser Unimesh".  Now select each wing and in the "Properties" Tab, check the "Subdivide separately from figure" and set the "Render" slider to "1" (or above).
